We had a great Halloween this year! Jack was, of course, Bob. Once he had his costume on, he really just wanted to work w/ his tools, though quickly got into the spirit when he smelled the chocolate! We worked on saying "trick-or-treat" for many months before the big night to prevent a repeat of last year's bad manners.
Halloween '07 Jack made his trick-or-treating debut by walking up to the door, grabbing numerous pieces of candy, looking right at the nice person w/ the candy bucket and saying "WANT MORE!" And on to the next house we would go....
So this year we had mastered the saying, it went a little like this...
"Mommy wait here!" (I was left at the bottom of the steps)
"Trick or Treat" (Jack takes at least 2 pieces of candy)
"Thank you" ( I am so proud!)
"ANOTHER HOUSE!" (Jack says this at the nice person w/ the candy bucket while pointing his finger right at their face!)
Well maybe next year...
Quinn was a pumpkin-a very cute one for sure! He loved to watch all of the kids and sat front and center for the Pumpkin Parade photo-not a bit scared! He was in heaven w/ his 1st sucker, and unlike Jack, hasn't asked for a piece of candy since!
And not to be outdone by our children, Scott and I dressed up and headed to the funeral home (yes I said funeral home) for a party! We had a great time, Thanks Jensen's!

So other than a mishap w/ the Jack-o-Lantern carving knife and my couch, it was a successful Halloween! (good thing we know a great seamstress who lives 2 houses away!)
