Long time no blog, I guess that's what happens when you have your cable and internet service turned off 15 days before you move, now that has been an experience in itself...
Anyway, we have sold our house (almost...), found a new house, and I have gotten an RN position at the hospital where I graduated from. Lots of great news, and maybe just a little stress to go along.
My last day at Cherokee Regional was yesterday, nice to be done and able to focus on packing, but also sad. I really liked my job there and the friends that I worked with, I may have to admit that a tear did fall on my drive home. Though quickly dried up in the chilly air as Scott and I did some painting on our house to get it ready for the appraiser, what fun...
Now just serious packing, a little partying on saturday night, hopefully meet Baby Whitmer?, then a drive in a 24ft Uhaul a dog and a Ford across the state on Sunday! (Thank goodness Grandpa and Grandma Thorson will be taking the kids to waverly on Saturday!)

New View
Well, its official, we are heading to 50677. Scott has accepted the position as club manager for the Waverly Country Club! Yay Scott, while this makes us sad to leave Holstein, this is a big promotion and very much worth a round of applause!!! Lots of details to be finalized yet, but he will start on March 2, so this will be a very busy month of packing and such.
In other news, the weather was 50 degrees here this weekend, so we built a snowman-which quickly proceeded to melt-and stomped in puddles!

By the way, notice the cute house inthe background, its for sale. Just sayin...
We started to declutter and pack this weekend. We found lots of Scott's old stuff including cowboy boots, belt and shirt, drumsticks and ski goggles. What a cool kid he must have been...Jack loved all of this stuff and proceeded to wear it all-at the same time. Like father/like son...

Happy Birthday, Grandma!
A Mama Can Dream, right?
So Quinn received a stuffed puppy for his birthday that came with a blue ribbon around its neck, and while he really likes the puppy, he LOVES the ribbon. Being a Mom of only boys, I quickly saw my chance and tied it is bow in his hair...oh the cuteness!

And, as if to counteract all of the sweetness and to prove that he is very much a boy, Quinn turned around lifted up his shirt and growled! Boys...
(By the way maybe its a good thing that I don't have girls, judging by the looks of my bow!)

What a Weekend!

Last weekend we made the trip to Waverly to see...Bob-the-Builder LIVE! Imagine the excitement building in this house leading up to the big day! Jack actually had a few meltdowns when he thought that I was going to "Bob" without him, when I was just going to work!
Anyway...Bob was great, Jack was so excited he had trouble getting to the bathroom on time at the beginning of the show! We went with Aunt Amy and cousins Sadie and Sara, and everyone got a really cool, light-up, Bob toy for only $20...Thanks Grandma and Papa for the tickets-you made Jack's dream come true.
Scott and I decided to get away for a little adult time while in town, so we left the boys with Grandma and Papa and headed to Cedar Falls(where we met). We did some shopping in non-stroller friendly stores and had a drink on Main Street.(Pardon the picture in the background...) We had supper with some great friends, Dave and Kelly (Dave was Scott's Best Man) and stayed in the historic BlackHawk Hotel. Wonderful. Though we couldn't wait to get back to see the boys!

Scott's Dad had also put together his old automatic train set for Jack to see, now if you know Jack this couldn't have been a better weekend!

Quinn also had fun "exploring" Grandma and Papa's house!
