Bloggy Break

Seems as though we are having some technical difficulties loading pictures onto Papa's computer, so a pictureless blog to tide us over until I am blogging from my very own computer in our NEW HOUSE! That's right, tomorrow we get posession of our cute little ranch and the work will begin. Hopefully only about a week's worth of new paint, new bathrooms, and new flooring and then we will be in!
We have been busy getting things ready this last week, and also did some Mother's Day celebrating. Sally, the kids and I ate at the Country Club (while Daddy and Aunt Amy waited on our table!) and then Scott took me to the new Sonic in Waterloo and "tire-kicking" in Cedar Falls with a fountain pop like we used to do in the old days! We were home in time to give our guys a bath and tuck them in, what a great day! My boys also gave me a beautiful necklace. I can't imagine not being their Mommy, and consider myself the luckiest girl in the world just to be part of their little lives!
Oh, by the way, we just bought all of our paint and supplies tonight and-Holy Crap!-prices must have doubled since we did this 5 yrs ago in Holstein because I feel like we spent our life savings on paint brushes and plastic drop cloths!

Jack and Quinn and the Big, Big Bridge!

Waverly has a great walking/biking trail that includes a bridge over the Cedar River. The boys and I went for walk there the other day and they loved it! Jack kept saying, "I'm just like Thomas on the Big, Big Bridge!" (a very popular Thomas the Train book in our house!)

Making the Band 5 (I think?)

Well, apparently "Diddy" (or whatever his name is these days)forgot to check our house when looking for stars to finally get that band he's been trying to start for 10years off the ground... Scott gave the boys an old microphone from the club and they found some headphones and Papa Stu's old guitar (Jack calls this "my big rockstar"), and they haven't stopped singing since. They even have original songs that they both can sing equally well, its just dadadadada over and over, sometimes loud sometimes soft. I have tried to actually sing some songs with words and get a dirty look and back to the "dadas" we go!
