The boys and I set out last Saturday with Grandma Sally and hit "Hudson Days" in Hudson. We met up with Scott's sister Amy and her girls Sadie and Sara and had fun in the inflatable toys, the train and big wheel races. Jack peed twice in a Spot-a-pot (he wondered why other people's pee was blue) and ate a footlong hotdog. Lots of fun, but we didn't stop there. We loaded up Grandma's van and headed to Omaha. Let's just say that the van ride was NOT the highlight of the weekend and we'll leave it at that!
Saturday evening we attended a wedding reception for great family friends (the reason for the trip)

It was very sweet, though you wouldn't know it from the way Jack and Quinn were acting! So we headed to the park for some much needed running around.

We had a great time playing though I think that someone forgot to tell the nice people of McClelland Iowa that the toys in their park have been taken out of parks all across America due to the DANGER! Must be why the boys loved them so much (and why we did back in the day!)A few dances later

and we called it a night.
Jack and Quinn had their 1st overnight in a hotel room(seriously, I must deprive them!!)
Then to the ZOO! Papa Wayne and Mom Kaye also joined us. No surprise that the favorite part of the day was the train ride in the "boose" (caboose) but they also loved the tigers, penguins and giraffes. (Jess-I think someone took you up on putting something in the tigers water because they were pacing and looking quite mean!)

Much fun had by all (thanks Grandma Sally for taking us along) though we were all ready to get home to see Daddy!
