Top Bed

The boys newest place to play, on these rainy, cold days, has been the top bunk bed. Jack can climb the ladder by himself and is generally pretty safe up there, but when we add Quinn, it can get a little dangerous. He really likes to bounce and jump(as you can see in the video),and then there's the wrestling... Needless to say I have to stay pretty close when they are both up there!

Wartburg College, ooh rah rah rah

Last Saturday was Wartburg's Homecoming. Scott decided to get some advertising in the parade, so Jack, Quinn and I got to ride along! the boys though that it was great, Jack rode in the back of the truck the entire time throwing candy.
Quinn rode on my lap in the frontseat waving at everyone for most of the parade, until he decided that that wasn't exciting enough, so for the last few blocks(uphill!) I carried him and we passed out koozies!
The highlight of the day were the firetrucks!

(By the way if anyone is in the area, and hungry at lunchtime, now you know where to go! :))

On Sunday we stopped at a local pumpkin patch with Sadie and Sara.

Though the 50degree weather was not ideal for pumpkin hunting, the kids had a great time!

Happenings

Lots of busyness at our house this week, just not too many exciting things to blog about. My wonderful sister and father in-law had bdays that we were able to celebrate with them. Happy Birthdays you two! I took a class at work this week, which proved to me that I am definitely NOT ready to pursue my master's. I hated choosing studying over kid time-yuck! And Scott's best bud Dave and his adorable kids have been in town this week-so have had quality time with them-and thinking that maybe Kyleigh and Quinn are going to try a longterm relationship? Too cute! (seriously this little flip out couch is the most comfortable spot in the house!) So since I really don't have many pics from the week, I will post a random video that I captured on my camera forever ago and just figured out how to download!

Go Hawks!

We cashed in on Scott's birthday present this weekend and headed to Iowa City to watch the Hawkeyes beat Arkansas State.
We had such a great time! Its been a long time since either of has been at Kinnick-and funny how our memories aren't that great of the past games seen there! It feels like you are the world's greatest fans watching the world's greatest team while you are there.
I am sure that this is the feeling that any fan, rooting for any team, in any stadium gets. (I know many go to the games each week and this is nothing new-but seriously-its great!)
So besides having one of the best Saturday afternoon's ever with my hubby,
we drove home and got to hang out with our family (our parents watched the kids while we were gone) and eat A LOT of good food!
So happy...

On the Road Again

No not me, but Jack and Quinn as they rack up the miles riding double on this semi. Pretty sure it wasn't even meant to be a riding toy. Oh well they are having a great time!
