So I was thinking the other day when Scott helped me beautify our blog that if baby #3 is a girl we will have to gender neutralize it....
Well looks like we are good to go with the sports theme and everything boy!!!!
Good thing we LOVE boys so much!

(This is his bottom telling us exactly who he is!)

We definitely knew he was a boy when he was not shy about showing us the business, but hid his face the entire time!
We love you like crazy already baby boy!

Happy Birthday Quinn!

My "baby" turned 2 on Saturday. I am having trouble accepting this (I am so going to be the Mom who follows her kids to college...) though he is making it easier on me with all of the cuddle time and still answering to baby! (Thanks Quinn!)

We had a Chucky Cheese celebration (mostly because Jack wanted to) and Quinn loved it, singing and dancing

(Maureen, check out the point!) :)

and going for a little cruise with Chucky!

We kept the celebration going with presents at home, with mama's, papa's and cousin Sara. His favorites are some new awesome tools, a motorcycle, grocery cart and bean bag chair.

(Funny thing-Quinn started calling my Dad "Wayne" this weekend! And not Papa Wayne, just "Wayne" SO funny hearing that come out of his mouth!)

We had cupcakes after our appetizer supper, and Quinn mastering the blowing out of his candle!

A great birthday, surrounded by family, food, and presents!

Quinn, as I held you on the morning of your birthday before anyone else was awake, and smelled your head (which amazingly still smells like baby) I couldn't help to think about how your 18th birthday will be so different.(and how soon it will be here!) Probably just a kiss on the cheek for me as you head out the door to celebrate with friends, made me hold you just a bit longer and just enjoy your 2yr old self while I can.

You are saying everything, and even getting a few sentences out here and there. You can say your ABC's and count to 7ish. You are a great helper, especially with the laundry. I think that our socks get washed 2-3 times because that is the only thing that you can throw in to the washer! You love trains, especially Geo-tracks, your new shopping cart, and tools, but your favorite thing to do is imitate Jack. He recently taught you "na-na na-na boo boo!" Great. You continue to say "thank-you" even if you are sad or are in the middle of a tantrum! You also are loving to dance, and can finally jump with both feet off the ground.

Oh Quinn, I could go on and on. Your Daddy and I love you so, so much. You make our lives so much better by just being you! Happy Birthday!

Happenings

Just day to day happenings around here lately, which is just dandy with us after the busy December that we had! The country club is closed until March, so Scott is filling the role of stay-at-home Dad while I get used to my new schedule of 5 nights a week. The boys are LOVING this, and really only need their Mommy for kisses on owies, and maybe working a fruit and veggie into their diet once in awhile! :)
It is taking me a little longer to adjust...at least I am not nauseated anymore.

Jack had his 4yr-old well child check-up. He weighs 40 lbs and is 43 inches tall. This is 81% and 93%, that's my big boy!

He impressed the Dr with his vocabulary, I love listening to him talk to others, you never know what things he will come up with! He told his Dr "my Mommy is going to have a baby, and then she will come to the Dr when it is hot out and get a shot and then her baby Charles will come out!" Sounds about right!

On Saturday Quinn was showering with me, and all of the sudden got a really scared look on his face and was saying "nake, nake" and pointing to my head. Now if you know me at all, you know that I am deathly afraid of snakes, I mean bring tears to my eyes just thinking aout them, scared. So you know, just in case a snake could survive the 2ft of snow, freezing temps, make it into our house and onto my head without me knowing, I sort of freaked out and was checking my head, the shower curtain and tub. No snakes, but Quinn was now not even wanting me to hold him, then I turn my head just right to see strands of my hair on my shoulder with water running through them looking like tiny snakes! Whoo, that was a close one! And even though I knew that it was just my hair, I ran my hand over my head one more time-just to be sure...

Thanks Quinn for giving your Mommy a heart attack. (My Dad will be laughing his head off about this one)

We also celebrated our niece Sadie's 9th Birthday.

I can't believe that she is 9, and remember visiting her in the hospital the day she was born! A very sweet girl she has turned into!

This week we are anxiously awaiting Quinn's 2nd Birthday, he picked out Diego hats and napkins-so a Diego party it will be!

Songbirds

I finally captured some video of the boys singing. The previous attempts were mostly me singing(not good) They think "I Gotta Feeling" is the best song ever created, and break out dancing when a few bars are played. Jack knows most of the words, but the refrain is his strength...

As you can see he has also learned to use the Ipod and loves the Transformers apps Daddy downloaded for him. Quinn is also singing a bit of the Black-eyed Peas, though his new fav is the Renee and Jeremy song "Miracle" that I hijacked from Leyna's blog! "You're a Miracle, uh-huh, You're a Miracle, oh yeah"(I don't know who these people are, but I love them and so does Quinn!)He usually adds a litle of both songs together for his very own song...
