Snow Much Fun
Monday, February 8, 2010
We spent all last week quarantined in our house (well except for work and juice and lysol runs), while the boys battled one virus or another.

On our way back from visiting Kelli in Des Moines last Sunday, Jack randomly started projectile vomiting everywhere with Quinn close behind only it was coming from the other end...This was followed by 104degree fevers.

Quinn seemed to quickly rebound, while Jack was really down and out the whole week, he was so pale and weak. He did have a round of antibiotics on Tuesday for suspicion of Strep, and a chest xray on Friday for continued 103degree fever, that I guess they decided was bronchitis. Yuck, yuck, yuck! Poor buddy was asking for tylenol suppositories by the end of the week. There is NOTHING worse than a sick child and knowing that everything you can do to help doesn't really help much. Scott and I felt terrible and sad, and felt like we were just surviving the week. (I know that many people have it worse, but it seemed pretty terrible to us at the time)
We did decide to visit Papa Wayne and Mama Kaye for the weekend (or as Quinn calls them "Wayne" and "Dramma") And apparently we should have headed there sooner because Jack's fever broke a few hours after he fell asleep (he was completely soaked with sweat!)Friday night, and he has been a new man ever since. My Dad thinks it was entirely his loving care! :)
We did get some good snow playtime in

and got to visit my Grandma and Meghann who celebrated their birthday's on the same day! We ended our trip a bit early on Sunday in fear of the newest "blizzard" warnings. Enough already, winter!
I did forget to mention a few weeks ago that our family joined a prestigous club... the Minivan Owners Club!

We(I) really drug our(my) feet on this one, but as Scott bluntly put it "Jenny we have procreated ourselves right out of a normal 4-seater vehicle, get over it!" He is definitely right, so come July we have a nice spot ready for our newest baby boy. And until then I will be enjoying my nice silver Ford Freestar along with the rest of the minivan mom's!
(This also meant that Scott had to say good-bye to the bonneville. Goodbye silver bullet we will miss you!)

Looking forward to a healthier week!
