Holstein

Jack, Quinn and I traveled to Holstein last weekend for a fun-filled visit. Unfortunately people wanted to play golf tournaments and get married at the club last weekend so Scott had to work...

We had a great time! We loved meeting baby Grayson and playing with Bennet, my cousin Alison's cuties.

The boys loving the doughnuts at Char-mac, my Grandma and Grandpa loved visiting with their 4 (soon to be 5)great-grandsons. Good thing Scott and Ash will finally be adding a girl!




We had a picnic lunch and played at Lawton's "fun park"






That afternoon, I left the boys in great hands, and met up with my college girls to celebrate Christina's new studio!




It is beautiful as are the pictures she takes. We had such a great time catching up and laughing, nothing like UNI, Hagemann, Amy House stories :) And I know that the boys didn't even know that I was gone with all of the ice cream eating, mowing and golfing that they did!

Sunday was another day of playing,

What a great time, even better that it was capped off with mowing with Daddy when we got home :)

Easter

The boys had quite an Easter! First baskets from Papa and Gramma Albers when they visited last weekend. They got the best kick balls-just like the ones we had in school!


We all got a pretty good laugh at the Peter Cottontail movie they brought for the boys-let's just say that it was a little primitive!

Then on Friday, more baskets came from Uncle Steve and Mariam.



They send the most fun baskets-duck whistles, matchbox cars, tootsie roll banks, and capsules that grow into animals! Though I am still forgiving them for the whistles...




We colored eggs on Saturday night-it was an adventure. I know that I am no Betty Crocker, but really how hard is it to boil eggs? Apparently hard, because we ended up with only 8 to color! (though the number started at less than 12 because of what a good helper Quinn is with carrying a carton of eggs!:))





It ended up being a quick process of the boys seeing how big of a splash the eggs would make as they threw them in the cups...if I wasn't pregnant it definitely would have been a wine night! The finished product!




The Easter bunny did stop at our house on Sunday morning with sunglasses, kites and candy.




We went to church and then had brunch with Daddy



and putted on the practice green.






The boys hunted eggs at Papa and Gramma Thorson's with Sadie and Sara





and finished the day with croquet!




A good Easter it was!

We finally got 4yr and 2yr pics taken of the boys. I will have to say that they did exactly what the photograher asked and were really very good, unfortunately I can't say the same for the photographer....Needless to say when Sears called for a customer survey I did not rate her well! Who takes 3 (yes only 3) pics of a 4yr old with one pose being a photographer directed "pouty-face" and expect to have great results? And thanks, but I get to see enough of Jack's pout on a day-to-day basis that I didn't really need it captured! Anyway...
We still ended up with some sweet smiles!
