I have been putting this post off, I don't know where to start to talk about my baby, and it also makes me pretty sad to think that he is one and that this is my final "1" post...Though I had to share the cute pictures-so off I go.
Clay turned 1 year old on June 14th. I can not believe that he has zipped through his 1st year so fast, though it seems like a long time ago that I was in the hospital having him. I miss that tiny baby so much-
but not so much the emergency c-section or bells palsy...
And while I could boo-hoo about him not being a babe anymore, I won't because I am absolutely in love with Big Boy Baby Clay. Seriously. Love. Him. like-not opposed to lifting him out of his crib to love on him while he is sound asleep, love him. It really is no wonder why he is such a Mama's Boy, I hardly ever leave him and hold him for the majority of the day, really he doesn't have much choice. And I refuse to apologize for it-yeah I will totally be the Mom lurking at the classroom window when he goes to kindergarten...
Clay weighs 23.5 lbs and will have the rest of the updated stats as of the 1st of July. He is crawling like crazy, and standing and cruising the furniture. He says "Mama, Dada, nigh nigh(night, night-which he is really refering to his bottle) and no. He says "NO" all of the time, usually appropriately as he tells on himself for pulling all the library books down or unrolling the entire roll of tp. He is refusing most baby food and would be in heaven if we just let him eat cheese. He claps, waves "bye" and does "so big," all of which the Dr had asked if he did yet at his 9 month checkup and at the time did none of them. Yep guess who got busy on that homework the second we got home from that appt? I imagine there will be a list of new things to work on after his 1 yr appt.
He happened to be a bit under the weather on his birthday, but hung in there like a trooper and entertained well with his cake. I thought Jack and Quinn were going to die with laughter!
Baby Clay, you are the sweetest thing I have ever known, I love you a bushel and a peck. You make me and your Daddy and brothers so happy. Happy 1st.

Preschool Graduate
We have a kindergartner on our hands! Woohoo!
Jack graduated from preschool on the 25th. They put on a great show of songs, skits and nursery rhymes. A bit emotional for this Mama (especially after pricing the boys baby clothes for the garage sale earlier in the day-why did I think that I could handle both in the same day?)
Jack recited "Little Boy Blue" all by himself. He hid his eyes most of the time, and the tears were very close, but he made it through the whole thing! He told me that " I was thinking about my golf clubs and hitting real hard so I wouldn't cry."
"Polar Bear, Polar Bear What Do You Hear?" Jack was the leopard, and once that mask was on he was brave as can be! The mask was almost more that Scott and I could handle making...
We are so proud of all that you have learned and accomplished this year, buddy! On to West Cedar Elementary we go!
